Owner of a broken heart

by Em   Jan 15, 2021

I often wish you'd stolen my memories of you then maybe I wouldn't feel bereaved
as you forged your love onto my heart, forever perching itself on the top ont my sleeve.
Though, the love you conveyed to me was only ever for your own pleasure
but, in all its glory, my deep love for you certainly had no measure.

if we were computers, we would be able to wipe parts of our memories that now fail, or are no longer needed. In hindsight, if we knew a new lover was going to hurt us, we would turn and run. I know I've fantasised about that in the past. A selfish love is certainly one nobody wants. One day the selfish lover will reap what they sow. x

With this comment, I'm going to put all my will in to changing into a robot lol how wouldn't it be nice to erase some of the horrible memories but I often wonder at what cost?
