The Butterfly Effect

by Kitty Cat Lady   Feb 9, 2021

She fluttered demure lashes
And licked full rosy lips
Tossed a mane of silky hair
And sashayed hourglass hips

His mind raced to the future
A whole two hours ahead
With her laid bare beneath him
So beautiful in his bed

Her mind raced to the future
Sweet promises he'd made
The life they'd make together
The love that wouldn't fade

Often in the years that passed
She'd ponder on that day
What single act had started
This life that went astray

She'd fluttered demure lashes
But now just sits and weeps
He holds aloft his sharpened pride
While watching her blood seep.

This is beautifully tragic. There's enough imagery to fill a gallery.
