I felt the current

by Skyfire   Feb 28, 2021

I moved like a ship
on the water
lithe
and low
buried in your waves

I pressed a finger to
your throat -
and then my lips

Peace settles warm in
my bones
and I shift,
riding the tide
of contentment
as your voice
rocks over me,
smooth
and light.

the juxtaposition of rocks and smooth (typo) is effective as it shows how powerfully this person 'rocks' your emotional state.

    Nice work.

This really is a lovely write. 'Soothing' is the perfect adjective here, I think!

    Take care.
