The Year 3251

The Year 3251

Tons of hover cars fill the sky,
And oh so high they fly.

Not much more ocean and not many lakes,
And humankind is making some grave mistakes.

Half the population is up in outer space,
And I wish I could go there cause it's a very nice place.

I wish I could live there instead of this trash,
And if I had the opportunity I would go there in a flash.

I live in USA in the 89th state,
And I am going to die here, I know it, it's my fate.

Now thinking just how far I would go,
To get up to space. I don't know.

This gave me the creeps! A chilling idea. All I can say is,
" Good thing I'm not going to be there when THAT happens."
    Lol
    Just two suggestions:
In the fourth line, perhaps change it to ' not many lakes' instead of ' not much lakes', as it might be slightly more grammatically correct, though the repetition sounds quite effective.
    Finally,

And I am going to die here, I know, its my fate

^^ I think the 'its' needs an apostrophe just before the s, as it's a contraction of ' it is '.
Apart from this, I really enjoyed the concept. Nicely done :)
