I feel like i’m a storm
stuck in a tea cup
stirring round and round
in a flood of tears

my thoughts thunder through my mind
swirling and crashing against the
fragile world i live in
that surrouns me

sediments of my broken heart are scattered
like loose tea leaves along pale walls
telling my arduous story

waves of my turbulent past
circle me like sharks
giving rise to memories
of which i desperately
try to steer clear from

however its so deep inside here
and difficult to escape
dark choppy waters

at times there is a lull.

The scent of roses creep in
from the exterior pattern
of this delicate shell

and above
the sky offers me a comfort blanket
where I reach out with my imagination
and snuggle up in silence
with the stars

for a while.

A roller coaster of emotion from storm in a teacup to snuggling in a comfort blanket with all the visual chaos inbetween. A compelling write. Milly x
