Depression

I appreciate the sun
trying to put some colour in my cheeks
but i bypassed the curtains
this morning

i knew i wouldn’t be in the mood
so i tried to turn a blind eye to daylight
however the day persisted
and became difficult to block it out of my mind

everything in the fridge felt cold
as usual

i made a coffee and headed back
to the bedroom
and take my place on the corner of the bed
sit for a while

then breath a sigh.

at least i have done another rehearsal
for tomorrow

    Also thank you for your inspiring comments and yes coffee can be a naughty one in the morning on empty stomach. I have herbal tea, but nicer at bedtime.

    I think theres a typo.

    In my case, i always open my curtains to the sun
    but I’m not depressed
    I love it when there’s light… not much when it’s really hot. I can’t stand the heat.

    But i may do the same if there’s no signs of the sun out there…specially when it’s raining… it just feels like i should be sleeping

    By the way, just something that came to mind, Coffee can lower vit b1. If there isn’t much vit b1 in the diet, some people can have memory problems, depression… and a wide range of symptoms long term. So if one is drinking coffee, better make sure to eat a breakfast, dinner, lunch etc rich in foods with Vit b1 to balance it out.

    Oh and i love the ambiance of the poem (i think that’s what it’s call).
