Induced Bedlam

Slam the steel door and fasten it tight
Make sure it’s sealed to keep out the light
The darkness will deaden those feelings you dread
And keep them locked up all alone in your head.

Don’t set your mind free keep it in check
Emotion will only lead to heart break
You need to be certain no cracks will appear
So paper them over with toughened veneer.

Tutors have taught you over the years
Your voice should be quiet, worthless are tears
So be like a shadow and sit all alone
Until your whole character turns into stone.

Slam the steel door and fasten it tight
Make sure it’s sealed to keep out the light
The knocking you hear will eventually fade
An emotionally distanced psychotic cascade.
