Heroes

Hero is a woman who has been bitten,
raped, convoluted in her loss of dignity,
an exploited innocence,
a survivor of poverty and wars.

Hero is a mother holding on to her children
fearing the fangs of destiny,
a working man going every day to work,
hopelessly trying to survive the pride of being a father, a provider,
every day beneath the serrated blade of destiny,
pain and pangs under the sewing machine of time!

a man
dragging up his boulder endlessly everyday
yet not to an unreachable crest,
a man trapped in the perpetual modulations
between affliction and triviality,
the futile ups and down!
the absurdity that initiates the vibrances
and waves!

Hero is the day to day survival of life,
a grain that is out to break the rock
to rediscover the sunshine printed in his/her genes,

little birds who migrate hundreds of miles to remain,
a paladin,
a little cell who surpasses millions of others,
to survive the specie
within the oddity of its onliness,
a death defier, searching for end,

a survival who to subsist
must defy its own being.
