Cloaks of jaded thoughts

by Mark Hopwood   Mar 20, 2024

You are there and i am here,
We're drowning, trapped in this giant tear,
Cannot breathe, suffocating
So unnecessary, as is all this hating.
I love you, we love each other
Why can't we just love one another?
Why can't we see the way we feel?
And stop with all this which is not real.
It's all distorted, it's all jaded
But we have a love that can't be faded
We have a love that will always remain.
We have a love in a teardrop of pain.
Two damaged minds, two warped ways of thinking.
Only seeing reality can stop us from sinking
But reality is shrouded by cloaks of jaded thought
And everything right leads us to naught.
