I Am Told About a Man

by charbel   Jul 5, 2026

I am told a man should never cry
Should never weep, should never lie
Should keep his pain behind his eyes
And greet the world like nothing dies

I am told a man should keep his word
Even when his voice is never heard
Stand in silence, take the blame
And never bend beneath the shame

But I have seen the strongest hands
Shake when no one understands
I have seen a brave heart fall
Then rise again and face it all

I am told about a man
Who stands when no one else will stand
Who carries scars but hides the pain
And walks through fire, wind, and rain

But I believe a man can break
And still have more than fear to give
A man is not the stones he takes
A man is how he learns to live

A good man has a bigger heart
This should be his greatest part
He keeps his promise, pays the cost
And searches still for what was lost

A brave man is the one who stands
Against the fear inside the land
Even when his life’s the price
He does not sell his soul twice

He may kneel when he must pray
But not to those who steal his day
He may fall, but not remain
A slave to sorrow, pride, or pain

I am told about a man
Who stands when no one else will stand
Who carries scars but hides the pain
And walks through fire, wind, and rain

But I believe a man can break
And still have more than fear to give
A man is not the stones he takes
A man is how he learns to live

Never bow except to God
That is what the old words say
Keep your dignity till death
Even on your final day

But dignity is not a wall
And silence is not always brave
Sometimes strength is asking light
To help you climb out of the grave

I am told about a man
Who stands when no one else will stand
Who holds his heart with wounded hands
And still protects the broken land

I believe a man can cry
And still be strong beneath the sky
He may lose, but not betray
The truth he carries every day

I am told about a man
Who never kneels to fear or shame
Always dies with dignity
And leaves behind a worthy name
