The Missed Call Anthem ( 2000 Edition )

My Nokia sings its mono tone
No one dares to call too long
One ring only, then it's gone
That's our language, moving on

Two missed calls means call me back
My credit's dead, my wallet's black
Three missed calls means come outside
Dad is sleeping, gotta hide

One beep, two beep, understand?
Love was cheap but well planned
No WhatsApp, no video wall
Just emotions in a missed call

SMS and T9 dreams
Nothing worked the way it seems
One-six-zero characters all
And a lifetime in a missed call

Pressing seven four times for S
Writing messages was a test
Twenty minutes, one little text
And then "Message Failed" appears next

Battery lasts a week or two
Snake was all we had to do
No blue ticks to make us fall
Only silence... or a missed call
