Calling God

by charbel   Jul 5, 2026

Dear God, I’m calling You tonight
To say I’m sorry for my sins
For every word I should not say
For every place my heart has been

I only need to talk to a friend
Someone who listens till the end
Someone who sees the broken parts
And does not judge my tired heart

Life has been hard on me to bear
The worries climb, the people stare
And sometimes I feel no one cares
But still I know that You are there

So I’m calling God tonight
From the silence of my room
Help me make it through the dark
Help my tired heart bloom

I’m calling God tonight
With the tears I cannot hide
Stay beside me one more day
Walk with me through the night

I ask for strength to pass my day
To break the stones that block my way
And for the ones in need and pain
Let mercy fall on them like rain

And for the ones who caused the scars
The ones who left me in the dark
I place them gently in Your hands
Maybe one day I’ll understand

I know, my God, I’m not alone
Every day You guide me home
When I am weak and almost gone
You help me stand and carry on

So I’m calling God tonight
From the silence of my room
Help me make it through the dark
Help my tired heart bloom

I’m calling God tonight
With the tears I cannot hide
Stay beside me one more day
Walk with me through the night

At the end, God, I thank You
For all I am and all I’ll be
For every road I understand
And every road I cannot see

Thank You for hearing sorrow
For Your love and gentle care
And if tomorrow breaks me again
I know that You’ll be there

So I’m calling God tonight
Not because I’m strong
But because You hear me clearly
When the world hears me wrong

I’m calling God tonight
With my sorrow and my light
Good night, my God, I’ll call again
If I need my friend tomorrow night

Good night
Good night
Thank You for listening
Good night
