Dark Rider

by charbel   Jul 5, 2026

I am the lonely dark rider
Born beyond the gates
Thirsty for the broken souls
And their forgotten fates

I hold the key to the black hole
Where the fallen crawl
Step too close into my shadow
And I will make you fall

You think I come from fire
You think I come from night
But I was standing closer
Hiding from your sight

Look in the mirror
Tell me what you see
The dark rider standing
Where your soul should be

Look in the mirror
Don’t turn away from me
I am the fear you buried
I am what you set free

I am the keeper of the gate
The sweeper of the light
I am the voice inside your dreams
That whispers through the night

I am the hand that steals your hope
The wall that blocks your way
The hunger in your quiet heart
That feeds on yesterday

You gave me every sorrow
You gave me every scar
Now I ride inside you
Never very far

Look in the mirror
Tell me what you see
The dark rider standing
Where your soul should be

Look in the mirror
Don’t turn away from me
I am the fear you buried
I am what you set free

I am not only darkness
I am not only pain
I am the face of every wound
That learned to speak your name

I am all of humanity
And the killer in its hand
The monster made of choices
No one wants to understand

Look in the mirror
Tell me what you see
The dark rider smiling
Wearing your memory

Look in the mirror
That is where I stay
Every time you seek me
I never rode away

No gates of hell
No distant shore
You knew my face
Forevermore

Look in the mirror
Look in the mirror
Look in the mirror
