Sin’s End

by Nate Campbell   Aug 16, 2026

I compromised
and let it in.
I thought it was,
A little sin.

It did bring joy,
Into my life,
But soon it turned,
To pain and strife.

I cracked the door,
Gave it a home,
And in my life,
I let it roam.

What I had thought,
I could control,
Darkened my heart,
Swallowed my soul.

It drug me deep,
Into my sin.
It took me places
Should not been in.

Hardened my heart,
Blinded my eyes,
Deafened my ears,
To all the cries.

The cries that called
The warnings out.
And bid to me,
To turn about.

I didn’t care,
I wanted more.
I wanted joy,
Just like before.

Deeper I went,
In search for it.
But never found,
Another hit.

I kept digging,
I kept seeking,
As the demons,
Kept on shrieking.

Saying to me,
“Just one more trip
You’ll find the joy,
You seek,” they quipped.

Seeking searching,
So frantically.
I heard a voice
Call out to me.

“The joy you seek,
You will not find,
In these spaces,
With clouded minds.

There is one way,
And only one.
To find this peace
It’s through My Son.

He gave His life,
To set you free,
From all this pain
and misery

He is the Life,
The Truth the Way.
Please heed the call,
Do not delay!

The time is near,
The time is nigh,
Accept this gift,
Or be denied.”

I thought I knew,
What’s best for me
From His presence
I did flee.

The call He made
I did ignore
And now on me
His judgements poured.

Now never more
A moments peace,
Now never more,
Will torment cease.
