Grieved; Ghosted

by Beautiful Tragedy   Oct 15, 2026

I grieved you like you died.
Days bled into nights-
Blurring together until I couldn’t remember which day of the week it was anymore,
I stopped looking at the calendar because the numbers physically hurt.
And my body bleeds from the the slice the silence left;
Your ghost walks the stairs at night and threatens to remind me what it felt like to have you here,
I wish you’d come back.
Bring gauze.
Unanswered questions float in the air with no real walls to attach themselves to-
So I make things up in my mind to find some semblance of peace,
Until I see your car parked in public and break down.
And my chest threatened to cave-
I’d sent you a poem about how I didn’t trust the nice guys,
They always wait until I’m attached before they hurt me.
I couldn’t live with the idea that you would do the exact same thing I’d written for you so-
I grieved you like you died because you ghosted me like you did.
