Chase is gone

I once knew a little boy who meant the world to me
He was precious, cute and free

On the sad day he left my side
I just about gave up and died
I was young and so was he
I thought he would always be there for me

His name was Chase and he was eight
I will NEVER forget that horrible date

He was more than just my baby bro
Damn how i loved him so
He left me and his twin
He was my favorite kin

We talked almost every night
We only had silly little fights
Thinking about it makes me cry
Dear god, why'd he have to die?

So innocent and kind
With him happiness i would always find
Memories of him I will always keep
I guess some scars are just too deep

I'm crying really hard now,it's not fair
All this is too hard to bare
People ask me what's wrong and i lie
I just know he was too young to die
