Chains of Insanity

Shimmering images clutter my mind.
Sanity leaves me far behind.

I am left with feelings...un-felt.
The sun bearing down as I slowly melt.

I float away within the breeze.
Finding myself where no one sees.

I've lost things...I never had.
I gain nothing...being sad.

Madness swarms around my head.
I hear things...no one's said.

I look for answers...unfound.
Unbreakable chains keep me bound.

I lose the battle...left unfought.
As insanity consumes my every thought!

    Sounds like something I'd write. I like contradictory lines in peotry, "I've lost things...I never had", "I hear things...no one's said"....very cool ;)
