Summer Rain Part2

I met the love of my life
One warm, stormy day
I had no idea
An angel would be sent my way

I was walking home
When i saw her there
Sparkling hazel eyes
And dark, wavy hair

Droplets of rain
Ran down her face
She looked so sad
Beautiful with grace

So i asked her to dance
She looked up in surprise
And i took her hand
While staring into her eyes

Her beauty captivated me
And took my breath away
I just held her close
Cause i could find anything to say

Like a rose so fragile
I treated her with care
Gently brushing away
Some of her dark, long hair

And then i took her
Beneath the trees
And we made passionate love
Amongst the fallen leaves

And then she drifted to sleep
So snug in my arms
Held her close to me
To protect her from harm

The face of an angel
So pure and sweet
Made my heart race
I forgot to breathe

The thought of leaving her
Made me sick inside
But I felt she'd have regrets
So i left her side

I kissed her on the cheek
And whispered goodbye
I turned away
I felt tears in my eyes

Many years passed
But every second of every day
I thought of that girl
I made love to in the rain

She never left my mind
But i thought it was too late
She would have forgotten me
She wouldn't ever wait

But one rainy day
On a day just like that one
I went back to the place
Our love had begun

And there i saw
A figure laying in the street
Bleeding and in pain
My heart began to beat

I let out a gasp
When i saw her face
The image burned into my mind
I couldn't erase

I cried out to her
But it was no use
I felt helpless
Not a thing could i do

Her wrists were bleeding
As the rain poured from the sky
And in my arms
She faded and died

She held something in her hand
My heart began to slow
For in her hand
She clutched a faded pink rose
