How do I say good-bye
To everything we had
How do I pretend to be happy
When inside I'm utterly sad

How do I move on
When all I want is the past
How do I carry on
When I want yesterday to last

How do I let it all go
When it makes my heart break
How do I turn away
When it makes my soul ache

How do I move forward
Without you by my side
How do I look to tomorrow
If in the past I must abide

And when all hope is lost
How do I stay alive
When there's nothing left inside of me
How can I survive

How do I say good-bye
To whom we used to be
When all I ever wanted
Is now behind me
