I just wanted to let you know
What a good friend you are
How much you cared for me
And made me feel like a star

You reminded me how much
I should be here alive today
How much I shouldn't give up
That there's a happier way.

You've noticed a real talent
I thought I never really had
You cared what I wrote about
All the pain and all the sad.

That night I nearly flew
When I recieved that call
Maybe I have a reason
No matter how small.

I guess I wanted to let go
Cos I coudln't find that way
Where I could be happy
I thought dieing was better to pay.

So I just wanted to let you know
My life I have never enjoyed
But my dear caring loving friend
Has filled that empty void.
