Melancholy Sunshine

by HOLLY ARMER   Oct 7, 2004

Sunshine wishes ... melancholy dreams
Shooting stars ... shattered moonbeams
Showering love ... thundering hate
Unanswered prayers tempting my fate.

Sapphire hope ... vacant eyes
Glimmering faith ... empty lies
Futuristic shimmer ... flickering life
Destiny cut by the blade of my knife.

Ruby flood ... shadowed face
Fading spirit ... tranquil grace
Angel lifted ... soul in flight
As I slip away into the light.

This sounds like one of those poems where you wake up in the middle of the night and it's just there.. even if it's not it's still a very good poem! I've never read anything like this.. I like it a lot =)
