The light has lightened your way
As God took you in his arms
The darkness has finally faded
And nothing will do you harm.

Grandma, you were very sick
The suffering and abuse
The cheating and the rape
A decision you couldn't choose.

It's going to be okay now
Grandma, I miss you so
You were really brave
But it was time to go.

The night you fell asleep
Was a night you'd never wake
A night where God lended
A hand for you to take.

Please watch over Daddy
He's been having a bad time
Why did you have to go?
Help me through my rhyme.

I hope you're not hurting
And that you're now okay
Just remember granny
