A Broken Angel

What you don't know is what you don't see
so sit back and listen to me
many wonder how this story could be
but what they don't know is this story is about me

there once was an angel who flew everywhere
people would point and laugh at her but she didn't care
some heads would turn to stare
than one kids words put to her tender heart a tear

he said what he said and saw in her face a look of fear
he looked into her eyes as they went crystal clear
rolling down her face was a single tear
in her presence he could sense death coming near

his words took away her feathers on her wings
her halo and other angelic things
the angelic pitch to her voice when out loud she did sing
off of her hand came the ring

the ring that her grandma had given her to keep was now gone
the one that kept her safe when things went wrong
no one could remember the last time they had seen her without that ring, it had been too long
before his hurtful words her life was as good as you hear only in a happy song

but his words tore her world apart
and it all began with her broken heart
her friends had told that boy that what he said about her wasn't very smart
and with the world she no longer wanted to take part

later on at night when the rest of her family was asleep
into her mind demons would creep
to her were where the evil in this world did seep
his words had stayed with her and went down deep

she picked up the knife and closed her eyes
what she was doing no one realized
and in no time she had the system memorized
as if by the demons she was hypnotized

that knife became her best friend
it was gonna help her put her life to an end
but she prayed to god and asked him for one thing to send
hoping that with that her heart would mend

the very next day she talked to someone and realized that god came through
she didn't know exactly what to do
she asked for a guardian angel and he sent you
and now she loves you through and through

its because of you that she wanted to live one more day
shes now happy and going on her way
for your love she does pray
but hey what can i say

you gave her back her wings
helped her to again experience the world with her angelic things
you helped fix a broken person, a broken soul, a broken heart, a broken smile and best of all
you helped to fix:
a broken angel
