Ship

The smoke settles beneath the sun as the ship floats on
its day done

rippling water beneath its feet
the worn torn age shown by its fleet
on and on it moves across the globe
seeming to be infinite in its own

a mast atop a giant brute
sailing to the tune of its own flute
on and on it blows through
as the ancient rays of the sun pursue
