The Moment...

by Kaitlin Kristina   Dec 4, 2004

I wait for one moment, precious in time
My eyes will reach up, and yours will meet mine.
Ill fall in your arms,
And the world will hold still
My thoughts will stall, while the air quickly chills.
Nothing will matter except you and me,
We will be all alone, and no one will see.
You will feel my heart, slowly beat against yours
While closing your eyes, like the slamming of doors.
You will hear my sigh, of needed release
And it will flow through your body, feeling just peace.
The smell of my hair and the heat of my breath will pull at your soul
To an endless depth.
The silence will conclude with an “I Love You” from me
And it will echo through time, and last through your dreams.
You will breathe me in, and squeeze my waist,
Needing to feel me, an endless embrace.
You will kiss my neck, soft and slow,
And lace my hair, as your fingers flow.
You will wish to yourself as the time ticks by,
That this moment won’t lead to “goodnight,” or “good bye.”
But time will march on; Sun will set on our love,

For at least that one moment, I was sent to you from above.
