Crooked Pictures

by Poetically Speaking   Dec 6, 2004

Crooked pictures,
of memories fleeting
decorate a place of dark.
Idle memories of a time of glee.
Ghostly; for how can this still compare?

Ashy soot defines the position:
Forlorn.
Immortal constancy of you and I.
Reenacting distant conceptions of:
love; hate
Bewilderment is the aura of despair;
surrounding demise; you and I.

Circumventing affliction,
our crooked dream gleams.
Assailing our damp souls.
Pleading to us both,
distant yet still one,
for perfection.

Beckoning a wayward path,
still diverged,
to look within.
Alas, we cannot merge.
Destiny has assumed its role;
our crooked pictures yet still hang.
A semblance of what once,
departed now,
was.

    Unique! I like the style! You have to really focus when you read this one! I like the fact you have your own style! The wording made it so different but that's what makes a good poem I think! Take Care! Brooke 5/5
