Driving Drunk

by Kacie   Dec 17, 2004

Screw you for what you did
You took away my girl
By getting in that car
You took away my whole world

You told your friends
You were okay to drive
You told them I have only had a couple beers
I will be fine

Your friends were drunk too
So they just let you go
I wish just one of them
Had enough common sense to know

You got in the car
And started speeding down the road
For once I wish you would have
Listened to what you had been told

Now your sitting in the hospital
And she is laying in a grave
Thanks to you
She will never see another day

She was only 17 years old
She had no reason to die
It should have been you
You’re the ones who has done the crime

She was coming home from a friends house
Her mom said she had to be home by nine
I wish she did not listen
And not try to make it home on time

Are you happy
With what you have done?
Was all this worth it
For only a couple hours of fun?

I hope this haunts your mind
So much that you can not sleep
I hope this is one memory
That you always keep

To anyone who thinks about driving
After having a couple of drinks
I hope just takes a second
To sit back and think

Do you really want to be responsible
For taking someone elses life?
Do you really want to be responsible
For another families strife?

If your drunk
Please don’t get in that car
Because the consequences of driving drunk
Are not worth it at all!

*Please comment and vote it would mean alot!*
