Grow young Gracefully

by Mark Hopwood   Dec 20, 2004

Let me take you back to long ago
When the grass was green and high it would grow
When dreams and ambitions where high on the list
And people had more to do than getting pissed

If you think back really hard
Maybe you remember playing in your yard
Rolling in the grass as you shouted and screamed
And your imagination ran wildly and floated upstream

It can't be bad if you feel so good
As your veins flow with young blood
You seen the truth and spoke your mind
Seeing things as they were and not being blind

As you grow older your dreams slip away
You lose track of your beliefs I'm sorry to say
Now you see things but walk right past them
And forget what its like to be curious again

You can grow old but keep your childhoods mind
Its in there still, if you look you might find
That you still feel and care and know
Whats its like to be a child, then your conscience will grow
You can change if you let your feelings show.

So listen and look and please take heed
We can succeed and let our minds be freed
Don't be machines, just pull the plug out
Think for yourself and let your heart shine out.
