Memories

I lie awake at night
Thinking of you.
I lie awake at night
Crying over you.

I can't help, but remember
All the happy moments
Engraved in my head
That we shared together

You kept telling me
How much I meant to you,
How much you loved me
And how you would never let me go.

What happened to those words
You kept repeating?
Did you forget them
Or did they simply fade away?

    I'm flattered that you enjoyed one my own poems :) I really like this one, because it reminds me of someone I know that said that. I guess it's like when you say something so often it becomes cliche...and you don't really stop to think about the meaning behind the words...I love it:)
