A Baby's Cry

Mommy why do you want
To give me away to death
Mommy please I’m asking you
Just please give me atleast one breath

Mommy please let me stay
I want to be your little girl
In your arms, I want to lay
I want to be bought into this world

Mommy why can’t I live?
I am just an innocent child
But u want to give
Me a walk down death’s isle

Mommy it hurts me to think
You don’t love me cause I love you
But with every passing blink
My unlived life comes closer to what your gonna do

Mommy I do not understand
Why are you doing this?
Mommy please don’t
It’s you I will miss

Mommy I’m telling you
I want to be held in you arms
I want you to love me to
And protect me from life’s harm

Mommy why aren't you listening?
I’m screaming out to you
I guess I’ll give up
Just like you did too

Mommy I see your tear
I hear your cry
So now I guess
This is our goodbye?

Mommy I was your baby
Somebody you never even knew
Mommy you killed me
And now I hate you!

    such a good poem, i love it...im totaly against aborting i think its disgusting just thinkin about people doin it, i hope people read this and realize that they are killin lives...keep up the work. beautiful poem

    Excellent poem. I was in a bad situation, and pregnant, and I gave my daughter LIFE. And i treasure her more than anything. "Not a Father, Nor a Dad" is my poem if you care to read it, but this one of yours hits the spot!!! 5.0!!!!!
