A Sign

by Lithium   Jan 23, 2005

I wait each day and each night, for your reply,
And yet you say nothing,
Not a word, not a sound,

I sit in my corner,
Just waiting for a sign,

So I know that you’re ok,
So I know that you’re safe,

It doesn’t have to be ‘sorry’,
It doesn’t have to be I love you’,
Anything you say, I will treasure,

Good or bad, mad or sad,
Either way, please give me a sign,

A sign of hope,
A sign of life,
Any sign with a glimmer of light,

I’ll wait as long as I have to,
In my corner, were I think of you,

Day and night, I shall continue to wait,
For your words, that will set my heart alight.
