Someone cared Tonight

by Lithium   Jan 25, 2005

It was 10 p.m. I was on the phone,
To the one I adore and love so much,
When a feeling came over me,
No longer did I have you’re loving touch,

My dad was yelling, mum was lecturing,
When all I could feel was tears flowing,
More and more they wouldn’t stop,
I ran to my room my head ringing,

I couldn’t control the shaking,
My arms will not heal,
As I made the choice to cut,
Instead of realizing what’s real,

The things you were saying,
Really hurt me deep,
Why can’t he understand?
Secrets are to keep,

But this time I was lucky,
Before I made my next incision,
An angel came through my door,
And changed my decision,

Her name was Tracy, my sweet sister,
She knocked on the door and turned on the light,
She spoke to me instead of yelling,
Which now I am thankful, someone cared tonight.

Dedicated to my sister Tracy, for helping me that night.
