Mirror of lies

by Jubes   Jan 26, 2005

I know it doesn't rhyme ... but this one wasn't about that

The mirror with all its truth
Is her worst enemy
She looks in it with hate
Why won’t it let her be?

She looks at the girl
Who is ugly to her bones
The ones sticking out
Beneath her fatty thoughts and woes

Hate rises inside her
and consumes her every thought
The ones that were once happy
Are now forgotten
As she battles with her hurt
And self hate

The mirror is her ugly friend
the one she turns for ‘truth’
everyone else lies to her
she knows she’s not beautiful

So she turns to the mirror
the only one she trusts
But do not brake that mirror
its seven years bad luck

forget the seven years
the mirror is now in pieces
The enemy she battles everyday
is now broken on the floor

Her blood soaks the carpet
her life is draining out
She broke the mirror
that’s haunted her
And its last cut is physical
Though the mental cuts were worse
She was dying slowly
In hate and self hurt
Now shes lying
on her blood drenched bedroom floor

Her battle with the mirror now over
The battle grounded a mess
Neither mirror nor pretty skinny girl
Breaths life
And the young girl is now dead
On her bedroom floor
