Autumn of My Sorrow

by ~*LorienElf*~   Jan 28, 2005

The leaves are falling off the boughs
They dance and flurry all around
In the sweet autumn wind that howls
They go in circles until they gently hit the ground

The floor is turned to a deep red
Like a lake of hardened blood
They speak in cracks and crinkles, but you cannot hear what has been said
And some go and turn brown in the scattered mud

When the tree is bare
So empty and so dark
All the leaves are down there
The cold has left its mark

They stand tall and lone
Naked in chill
As the wind whistles through, they give out a moan

The leaves are something never can they forever hold

Well... I thought this was a bit unpredictable in structure, and a tad unorganized... but overall not bad... your imagery was nice, too.

    Keep writing.
