I loved you,
You hurt me,
It stung for a while
But i moved on slowly

I started to accept
It had come to an end
And now you'd be nothing
More than a friend

I dried all my tears
And put on a smile
I was actually happy
For the first time in awhile

But to my surprise
We started talking and then
Everything came back
I felt it all again

I don't think you realize
The effect you have on me
And when my heart is in your hands
You can break it so easily

You tricked me into thinking
That you actually did care
I wasn't expecting what happened next
What you did was so unfair

Why'd you make me think
That i could be with you
When you still had love for only her
And you knew it wasn't true

You chose her over me again
My heart shattered once more
All the pain came rushing back
I felt worse than before

This times a little different though
I can't get myself together
It seems that all I really want
Is to be with you forever

I never thought that I could feel
As empty as I do
I love you with all of my heart
I just wish you'd love me too

I know that someday ill move on
And forget how bad this feels
But I guess I have to wait it out
Until my broken heart heals
