Love is a cruel thing

Love is a cruel thing
A thing that shouldn't be
The problem is
I fall for it so easily

I’m always being lied to
I feel only pain and deceit
My heart keeps breaking
And I no longer feel complete

So many I loves you’s
So many “I care”
But when things get hard
The love isn’t there

I’m left once again
Drowning in tears
Through this pain I keep feeling
This pain I fear

I’m so scared to love
And let my heart be free
Cause when I truly fall in love
The love always leave me

It’s all “I’m so sorry, forgive me!”
“I didn’t mean too!”
“It was just one kiss”
“Sorry, we're threw”

Well I won’t take it anymore
I now refuse
To take and feel
Anymore of this abuse

I’ve had my heart broken
It can’t take it anymore
The pain is killing me
I can only cry on the floor

And now again
Someone is hurting me
Just let me die
Just leave me be

How many times will they do this?
Turn and walk away from me
It’s not that they walk away it hurts
It’s cause they do it so easily

They walk out the door never looking back
Not even noticing me ever flowing tears
How many times will love do this to me?
Over the long cold years

So if you think your going to leave and hurt me
Then please don’t come into my life
Because if this happens again
It will end with my throat and a knife
