Seeking her grace

by polly   Feb 2, 2005

Looking in the mirror and seeing what maybe
There is a deeper face that only I can see
Sometimes she tries her very best
To lay her worries and nightmares to rest

In seeking her grace
Through this untidy space
She prays to behold
A gift to melt the cold

She wishes for beauty within
To repent and to mend any sin
Through this she could create
The strength to fulfil her own fate

Her journey towards this golden staircase
Could save her from this frightening place
So angels, please this night help me find my grace
So I can finally survive, to help save our race

Climbing up this ever long hill
To one day receive this glorious will
Her beautiful rainbow shall fly
Happily and in peace, enlightening the sky

This girl sits with a special smile on her face
Trying to save herself, from falling from grace

She can’t help but suppress the dark memories,
And nervous thinking
Yet hopefully this defence mechanism,
Shall protect her from sinking

In her heart she shall fight her demons
So she can smile for true and loving reasons
He will banish her bad dreams, where they belong
Then asleep she can finally fall, to Gods heavenly song.
