The Power Of Love

by hayley williams   Feb 6, 2005

I never thought it was possible
To actually feel your heart breaking
But losing you made me realize
I cannot stop the constant aching

I never believed it to be true
That you could drown in your tears
Until the day you walked away
Leaving me to confront my fears

I never knew that love was blind
But you managed to fool me with lies
I listened to ever word you spoke
Not knowing you wore a disguise

I never thought it was possible
For a boy to make me want to die
But when you decided to leave
You cut off my oxygen supply

I never believed it to be true
That love could hurt this much
Until I was left so all alone
At night craving for your touch

I never knew that love was blind
Until you ripped my world apart
And now that I can see again
I realize I never did own your heart
