Uncried Tears

For every tear that's left uncried
Another part of me has died
Locked inside is pain and fear
I feel it coming a single tear
To hold it in I use a knife
Just cutting deeper into my life
For every tear that's left unshed
Again I'm wishing I were dead
I feel the tear upon my face
I feel the hate that's in this place
My fake smile brings me down
And loves to watch me as I drown
Running the blade across my skin
against myself I cannot win
My pain and anger is locked away
It leaves me fading more each day
For every mark that you see here
I hold inside another tear
For every smile that I fake
Another cut I will make
This is the beginning of my end
My broken heart I cannot mend
You won't see the tears run down my face
But you'll see a scar left in their place
