Looking For More

I'm longing for vision in these blinded eyes
A glimpse of light in these overcast skies

I want to look beyond what is outwardly shown
Into the face of a stranger with a heart much like my own

I'm praying for wisdom and a forgiving mind
A heart that is loving, patient, and kind

I'm waiting for courage and hope everyday
And love to guide me along the way

I'm praying for strength in these stumbling feet
As I battle the crowds on life's busy street

I'm waiting for reassurance when things go wrong
So my faith doesn't falter and I may be strong

I'm longing for life without all the tears
Maybe I'll do better, in the coming years

I wish for the patience to wait for the day
When the sun might come out and the clouds go away

Understanding and laughter I wait for too
And grace to accept what life gives me to do
