Another day

by ElegantlyWasted   Feb 18, 2005

The doctor stared in shock,
At what this girl had done
Her worthless tears still falling,
As they look at her, stunned

Snares of disappointment,
And glances of utter disgrace
Her mother clutched her heart,
Her father covered his face

Scars drown her body,
From nights of tormenting pain
But nobody had the guts to ask,
Why she played this game

Her life just one big mess,
An entire world of lies
Her friends never bothered,
To see through her disguise

Nights went by so slowly,
And another hit she'd take
For many years she pondered,
Why her parents were so fake

Her rage still builds up,
But inside she's losing the plot
People tell her she's okay
When really, she's fcuking not

Tonight she'll smile in glee
Because nagging just isn't right
She can't hurt other people,
So she must resist the fight.

-This is so stupid, i was happy one second then angry the next. "Kalah, you are hurting others by acting like this" - Sorry.

Whoever's said that to you clearly has no idea. They must be living in some sort of bubble.
This poem's amazing. Simple, yet emotional and powerful. Lovely.
    Take care of yourself.
    All my love,
    Laura.
