These murky tears
streaming down my face
black and brown smudges
showing the world my disgrace

the raw pain inside
now bubbling out
tear stained eyes
affecting my once perfect pout

pain filled tears
wrecking all my preparation
black hearted sorrow
smudging every inch of foundation

so much hurt
too many nights Ive cried
black stains on my pillow
eye liner once perfectly applied

mascara running
as i cry black tinted drops
two toned blush
depression never stops

so much caked on make up
washed out by black tears
washing away insecurities
revealing so many hidden fears

what ever happened to me
the natural glow i once owned
the natural glow of happiness
before pain made me feel two toned

the murky river never stops flowing
as so many black tears i cry
inside myself Ive stopped growing
to me I'm living a make up lie
