Slowly breaking

Once upon a time
I thought i knew pain
a broken heart
and tortured soul
but that is nothing compared to this
this UN escapable grief
the pain of losing some one you love
never to hear their voice
feel their warmth
or look into their eyes
only pictures
and foggy memories
my heart is breaking
missing some one so much it hurts
every night i wish
for god to bring him back
every night my wish is ignored
seems all I can do is cry
look into the heavens and ask the same question again
why?
