Nothing ever changes

by Mark Hopwood   Mar 4, 2005

I guess it's time to go to bed, I said
The only one there was me, So I had to agree
Then I closed my eyes and stared into the darkness
The darkness of the past, present and future,
Nothing ever changes.

Still no sleep even though hours have passed
How can I sleep when I know how long this could last
So I have a smoke and a cup of tea
Make some toast and see what crap's on TV,
Nothing ever changes.

Four hours later and I'm still lying here
Wishing to god that I could just disappear
And sink away, into the deep
Maybe then I could get some sleep,
But nothing ever changes.

I have totally felt like that before. I hope that things change for you. Good job.
