You Never Saw It Coming

by Heather M Craig   Mar 5, 2005

When You Saw The Representation,
The Scars That Paint Me Well,
You Never Saw It Coming
Of The Stories One Could Tell.

When You Saw The Laughter
That Flowed Deep Beneath,
You Never Saw It Coming
Of The Friend I Could Be.

When You Saw The Soul
That Lied Beneath My Eyes,
You Never Saw It Coming
Till Your Heart Could No Longer Lie.

When You Saw The Heart Of Allure
That Was Reticent Beyond The Years,
You Never Saw It Coming,
The Love Of Your Life Had Appeared.

When You Saw It All Worthwhile
That Amazed Your Stranger Eyes,
You Never Saw It Coming
The Oblivious Death Of I.

Heather M Craig.

*the poem is obviously not about me, it's about the stages of love we go through, the meeting of 2 apprehensive strangers, the bonding of friendship, lust, the falling in love, and finally death of one but both members :*(
