Looks Like Heaven

I can see a place
In your eyes
Looks like heaven to me

I want to touch your face
Try and go there
Looks so perfect to me

Want to steal your skin
Be where you are now
Looks so peaceful to me

Need to breathe your spirit in
So I have your strength
You seem so restful to me

Want to speak what you weren’t able to say
So I can let people know what went wrong
Your life seemed horrendous to me

Wish I could just fly far away
Be with you, where you lay
But they say that life is meant for me.

Though I know … your peace
Will be mine, too …soon.

this poem kind of plummeted towards the end because my mom came in and started yelling so i couldn't finish it properly. i will edit it when i feel calm enough again. x

    thank you for coming back and explaining. The trick of poetry is not to confuse your readers but make them think :) and i succeeded I believe lol.

    As for your poem, not the best but it's still good, i loved the ideal of "breathe your spirit" sounds so creative and beautiful...great job 4/5
