Bloody Path

Darkness surrounds my life
My eyes are blind to light
No one to pull me out
I'm stuck in eternal night

Walking this path of life
But I cannot see ahead
I only feel it below my feet
I just wish I would drop dead

I feel blood splatter my feet
It trickles from the unknown
So much pain as I walk
Into the abyss alone

The blood begins flowing faster
Rushing around my bare feet
I walk blindly into the dark
Waiting for the end to meet

Torrents of blood pound over me
Wearing me away with each wave
I'm soaked to the bone with this blood
Not even the knife will now save

When will this terrible path
Come to it's final end
It twists far into the wasteland ahead
The blood across every bend

No way to see where is straight
And where is rocky and course
Still the blood flows stronger
Though I cannot see the source

I feel the end is near
I'll find the blood flows from
Maybe I'll be able to see
From where this redness may come

Suddenly i stop in the blood
And my eyes are opened wide
The sight I see is shocking
I see from where comes the red tide

A body lies in the blood
So many cuts are shown
But that blood splattered face looks familiar....

The bleeding body is my own
