Swallows you whole

by Broken Angel   Mar 13, 2005

Lately your world seems to spin
You don't think anything can get better
Your options to make it OK run back and forth
She could really help you if you let her

Its late all you can hear is the t.v static
You look over at her sleeping as you silently stand
You walk to the kitchen and grab the bottle
Somehow you think if you cry you wouldn't be a man

You spin the cap bottle open
And take a sip of the sweet whiskey
You enjoy the feeling it gives you
So you swallow the bottle quickly

That one night changed your life
You started to drink every time it got bad
It soon became a problem
And you lost everything you had

You had a beautiful wife
Who would have crossed the ocean for you
For awhile she kept it a secret thinking it would help you stop
And the whole time to you she stayed true

You suddenly realized you had a problem
You dragged yourself to A A
They all asked you why you drank
You wanted to speak but didn't know what to say

You started to get better
But the hellish reality you could not grasp
You got drunk all over again
And you ended up with a bad relapse

She sat there crying
She thought you'd get better she was so sure
You got sick of it
And you turned around and hit her

You lost everything you had
You lost the only one who loved you
You lost the love of your life
You lost the only one who to you stayed true

Your an Alcoholic
Its consumed your mind and your soul
You've got a tight grasp on the bottle
And tonight it'll swallow you whole

*Sorry its so long but i was dealing with someone who drinks so it helped please comment
