A Step in the Journey of My Life

The fear on her face as she sat there and cried
The thoughts in her head since both parents had died
She can't find her place in this world without faith
She's losing her mind, now she's falling behind

The scars on her arms make her think back in times
I loved them so much, why'd they have to die
The colors are dark, black, sometimes with red
Rubber bands are her fears, though the razors are Friends

She'll sit in the corner by herself all the time
In the house of memories she can't put behind
Her days are now numbered, now a week has past
Now the day has come I'll just sit and think back

My hours are few now, I'm saying goodbye
To the little thoughts and memories I may leave behind
My life was intense, now the journey has come
Good-bye to everyone and the things I've become
