As Your Heart Beats Against Mine

by Nat the dreamer   Mar 27, 2005

The ocean is calm,
As the waves are at sea.
The seaguls are gliding,
away to be free.

The pier is creaking,
breaking the silent of the night.
Our feet are dangling,
as the world fades out of sight.

The moon is aglow,
reflecting against the bay,
You rest your hand in mine,
as your touch sends the stars array.

The stars glitter,
like diamonds in the sky.
Just as glorious,
as the twinkle in your eye.

The wind blows soundly,
as your hair brushes your cheek.
you whisper I love you.
Too stunned to speak.

The sun soon rises,
as the night is gone,
the rays of sunlight,
bring in the dawn.

The colors of the morning,
shine across my room,
it was all but a dream,
As I was spending it with you.

My wish failed to come true,
as I wished upon that star.
I'd give away anything,
just to wake up where you are.

As long as the Twilight glows,
and the stars continue to shine.
Then maybe I wont watch the sun rise alone,
as your heart beats against mine.
